Terms & Conditions.

1. Eligibility

This site is open to writers, filmmakers, producers, and film professionals connected to the Himalayan regions, cultures, or communities, and to anyone submitting work related to Himalayan cinema. There is no age restriction beyond a general expectation that submitters are adults (18+) capable of entering into these terms; if you are the parent, guardian, or legal representative of a minor submitting on their behalf, you confirm you have the authority to do so.

2. Writing Lab — Script Submissions

• Writing Lab submissions require a non-refundable processing fee, shown at the time of submission and payable through Razorpay.
• Payment confirms that your submission has been received; it does not guarantee selection, review by a specific date, or any particular outcome.
• By submitting, you confirm that the story is your own original work, or that you hold the necessary rights to submit it, and that the information provided is accurate.
• Submitting a script does not transfer any rights in that script to Basecamp Collective or Himflix. If your script is selected to move forward, rights, compensation, and production terms will be discussed and agreed separately, in writing, before any further steps are taken.

3. Film Submission

• Film Submission is free — no fee is charged to submit a completed film for distribution consideration.
• By submitting, you confirm that you hold the rights necessary to submit the film, and that any existing distribution arrangements have been disclosed accurately.
• Submission does not constitute a distribution agreement. If we wish to move forward, distribution terms — including revenue share, rights, and duration — will be discussed and documented in a separate written agreement.

4. Join the Crew

• Registering a profile through Join the Crew is free and does not guarantee work or contact from us.
• Your profile is kept private and used only to match you internally with productions that may fit your skills — it is never made publicly searchable.
• You're responsible for keeping the information in your profile accurate; you may write to hello@himflix.in at any time to update or remove it.

5. Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide accurate, truthful information in any submission. We reserve the right to disqualify a submission or remove a profile found to contain materially false information.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of everything you submit. Submitting material through this site does not grant Basecamp Collective or Himflix any ownership or licensing rights beyond what's needed to review your submission internally. Any use of your work beyond review — production, distribution, publication, or similar — requires a separate written agreement with clearly defined terms.

7. Payments & Refunds

Where a fee applies (currently, Writing Lab only), payments are processed securely through Razorpay. Submission fees are non-refundable once payment is confirmed, except where required by law or in the case of a technical error resulting in duplicate or failed-but-charged payments — in either case, contact hello@himflix.in with your submission reference.

8. Limitation of Liability

Basecamp Collective and Himflix make reasonable efforts to review every submission fairly, but we do not guarantee any specific outcome, timeline, or response. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the site and its offerings evolve. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from them will be handled under Indian jurisdiction.
