Every year, filmmakers across the Himalayan region make films rooted in Himalayan societies despite knowing there is no dedicated marketplace waiting for them. Each film carries years of hard work, sacrifice and belief. Many travel to festivals. Some receive recognition. But once the festival circuit ends, finding meaningful distribution remains one of the industry's biggest challenges.
At Himflix, we're working to address that gap.

We understand the trust involved in sharing a film. Every submission is viewed confidentially and with care. A working screener link is mandatory for review. You will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours of submission.

Google Drive, Vimeo or unlisted YouTube links are all acceptable.

All screener links and submission material remain confidential and are used strictly for internal review.
This submission portal is open to filmmakers, producers, writers, distributors, and production companies whose films are connected to the Himalayan regions, cultures, or communities. There is no age or geographic restriction on who may submit.
By submitting a film, you confirm that:
Himflix may request supporting documentation regarding rights ownership if required.
Submission of a film through this form does not automatically constitute a distribution agreement. No rights are transferred, and no commercial relationship is created, until a formal written agreement is signed by both parties.
All submissions are reviewed by the Basecamp Collective and Himflix team. Selection decisions are made at the sole discretion of the platform, based on audience alignment and overall fit. Submission does not guarantee selection or distribution.
If a film is selected, distribution terms — including revenue structure, rights, exclusivity, and duration — will be discussed openly and documented in a formal written agreement before any release planning begins. No obligations arise for either party until this agreement is signed.
All screener links, submission materials, and related information are treated as confidential and are used strictly for internal review purposes. Materials will not be shared with third parties without the filmmaker's consent.
Himflix reserves the right to modify or update these terms as necessary. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India.
